Our Vision: Store Fundamentals is designed to empower every store, big or small. The vision section highlights the app’s commitment to providing affordable, scalable solutions for Shopify merchants.
The Delivery and Pickup feature is one of the core functionalities of Store Fundamentals, empowering you to offer flexible, efficient fulfillment options for your customers. By providing time slot scheduling, fulfillment type selection, and storefront customization, this feature is designed to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline operations for your team.
Now, let’s take a closer look at how to access and use the main settings within the Delivery and Pickup feature.
Exploring Tabs: General Settings and Storefront SettingsThe Delivery and Pickup feature is organized into two primary tabs: General Settings and Storefront Settings. Each tab allows you to configure specific aspects of your fulfillment and scheduling options to suit your store’s unique needs.
General Settings
In the General Settings tab, you’ll find core configurations related to fulfillment and scheduling:
Status Toggle: At the top, you’ll see a toggle for enabling or disabling the app’s core features. When active, Store Fundamentals integrates seamlessly into your store’s theme, enabling the date-time picker on the cart page.
Timezone and Fulfillment Options: Set your system’s default timezone and select which fulfillment options you want to offer. Options include Store Pickup, Local Delivery, and Shipping. Each can be enabled or disabled based on your store’s needs, giving you complete flexibility.
Time Slot Settings: Time slots let you manage customer flow, reducing congestion at peak times. You can set the Cutoff Time Before Fulfillment (e.g., 15 minutes before pickup) and the Maximum Booking Range (e.g., 30 days in advance) to control when customers can book time slots.
Configuring Time Slots by Day: This section allows you to create specific time slots for each day of the week. For instance, you might want to enable pickups on Mondays and restrict them on Sundays. The app also supports a maximum orders setting per time slot, so you never overbook.
The Storefront Settings tab is where you can customize how Store Fundamentals appears to your customers on your storefront:
Cart Button Selector: Specify the CSS selector for the cart button, so the app integrates directly with your cart’s design. This selector ensures that customers can see the date-time picker positioned near the cart button.
Calendar Position and Alignment: Control where the date-time picker appears relative to the cart button, with options for positioning it before, after, or within the cart button element. Alignment options (Left, Center, Right) allow for further customization, helping the picker blend seamlessly with your site’s design.
Debug Mode: For developers and store admins who want to test the app, enabling Debug Mode will activate console logs, providing insights to ensure the app is functioning correctly on the storefront.
Save and Discard Options: At the top right of each settings page, you’ll see Save and Discard buttons. Always save changes after making updates to ensure configurations are applied. The Discard button is useful if you want to undo recent adjustments.
Feedback Panel: The yellow Feedback button on the right side of the screen is a great way to share insights or request new features. Store Fundamentals is actively evolving, and your feedback helps shape its future.
Live Chat Support: If you need help at any point, click the Support is Online button at the bottom right. This connects you to live support, where you can get assistance with any app-related questions.
