Offering in-store pickup is a fantastic way to cater to local customers who want the convenience of online shopping without the wait for delivery.

With Store Fundamentals, setting up store pickup is simple, allowing you to offer time slots that match your store’s availability and capacity.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to configuring store pickup, using the options available in the Store Fundamentals app.

Step 1: Navigate to the Store Pickup Settings
  1. In the Store Fundamentals dashboard, go to the Fulfillment Settings section.
  2. Click on the Store Pickup tab at the top. This will open up all the configuration options related to store pickup.
Step 2: Configure Time Slot Settings

The Time Slot Settings section lets you define the timing and rules around store pickup. Let’s go through each setting:

  • Add End Time: Check this box if you want each time slot to have a defined end time. This can help customers see a clear start and end window for pickups. If left unchecked, only a start time will be visible.

  • Interval Between Time Slots (minutes): Use the slider to set the gap between each pickup time slot. This is useful for giving your staff enough time to prepare the next order.

  • Cutoff Time Before Fulfillment: Set a cutoff time to define how much advance notice you need before a customer can pick up their order. For example, setting this to “15 minutes” means that customers can only book pickups at least 15 minutes in advance.

  • Cutoff Time Unit: Choose the unit for your cutoff time (e.g., minutes, hours, days). For instance, you might require a 1-hour lead time before an order can be picked up.

  • Maximum Booking Range: Define how far in advance customers can schedule their pickup. Setting a value of “30” with a unit of “Days” allows bookings up to 30 days in the future.

  • Booking Range Time Unit: Set the unit for the maximum booking range, such as days, weeks, or months.

Step 3: Configure Timeslots by Day

Now that you’ve set up the general time slot settings, you can configure specific time slots for each day.

  1. Select the Day: In the Configure Timeslots section, you’ll see tabs for each day of the week (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.). Start by selecting a day – for example, “Mon” for Monday.

  2. Enable Store Pickup for the Day: Check the box labeled “Enable Store Pickup on [Day]” to activate pickup options for that specific day.

  3. Create New Time Slot:

    • Start Time and End Time: Enter the start and end times for each pickup slot. For instance, a slot starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM.
    • Once entered, click + Add to save this slot.
  4. Manage Existing Time Slots:

    • You
can view and edit any existing slots. For instance, in the screenshot above, there are two slots already set: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
    • To edit, simply adjust the times as needed, or click Remove to delete a slot.
  5. Repeat for Other Days: Go through each day and set up unique time slots if your pickup hours vary by day. You can always return to this section to adjust availability as needed.

Step 4: Save and Preview

After configuring your time slots and fulfillment settings:

  1. Save Changes to ensure your settings are active.
  2. Preview the Storefront:
Visit your storefront to see how the new pickup options appear to customers. The date-time picker should now display available time slots, matching the settings you configured.
